The music-minded brains behind the popular A Day On The Green concert series are launching a brand new live music spin-off, named Rolling Green, locking in The Black Keys as the first artists to headline the inaugural event.

Described as “the younger brother” to A Day On TheGreen by promoters Roundhouse Entertainment, RollingGreen will offer large-scale outdoor concerts at established regional winery venues, showcasing “three to four artists” per event.

“A Day On The Green has found its place but there is no reason younger audiences should not see bands they want to see in the beautiful environments that have made A Day On The Green such an established event for an older crowd,” Roundhouse Entertainment’s Michael Newton says in a statement. “The Black Keys is the perfect band to launch Rolling Green.”

The Black Keys will help launch the first two RollingGreen dates this April (in the country to headline Bluesfest 2015), with an impressive support lineup joining the Grammy-winning blues rock duo.

Veteran Aussie trio Spiderbait, the mighty Band Of Skulls (also playing Bluesfest), and Adelaide rock knockabouts and rising ones-to-watch for 2015 Bad//Dreems will all open for The Black Keys at Rolling Green at Rochford Wines in Yarra Valley on Sunday 5th April and Bimbadgen Winery in the NSW’s Hunter Valley on Saturday 11th April.
