Bands get together in all sorts of ways. As Tone Deaf previously covered, many met at school, jamming in a member’s basement or garage, before going on to record a chart-scaling debut album and becoming one of the biggest bands of all time,

For others, however, it all comes down to a matter of being in the right place, at the right time, with the right newspaper in your hands. For those not familiar with the concept of the classified ad, they were like Craiglist before the internet.
