DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist have announced the support acts that will be joining them on their eagerly anticipated Renegades of Rhythm tour of Australia, which includes an extensive set of dates in major cities around the country as well as a stop at Golden Plains.
For those still playing catch up, DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, two of hip-hop’s most legendary sample masters and turntable overlords, have embarked on a very special tour unlike any other before it, armed with hip-hop legend Afrika Bambaataa’s legendary record collection.

The Renegades of Rhythm tour is a tribute to Bambaataa, as well as a journey through hip-hop history, illustrating what DJ Shadow himself told Tone Deaf is the “extreme inclusiveness” of hip-hop. “We literally play everything from dub music, to Public Image Limited, to krautrock, to classic breaks,” he said.
Supporting Shadow and Cut Chemist on this special string of dates will be JNETT, Matt Radovich, and YO! MAFIA, who’ll be taking care of business in Melbourne, and Mike Who, Frenzie, and Migz, who’ll be supporting the two DJing legends in Sydney.
