Throttle makes for a powerful, physical and innovative show not quite like anything you have heard or seen before on Melbourne’s stages. The Shadow Electric Bandroom is pleased to welcome Ashley Davies for two nights only on Saturday 28th February and Saturday 7th March for a musical journey through live music, visuals and theatre.

Set to tracks off “Muscle Drum Music “ Volumes 1 and 2…Throttle is a foot stomping ride put together with images from car racing, rocket launches, rollercoasters, dance footage, a touch of comedy and anything in between.

Cop My Wallop, aka Ashley Davies wanted to create a show that would be a new and exciting experience for a live audience. The “Muscle Drum Music” albums had received rave reviews, but it was how to perform the music live and in a unique way. Seeing how DJ’s use visuals and video inspired him to take, use and elaborate on the video/visual theme used in  Throttle.  Ash’s love of theatrical shows that were pushing the boundaries also inspired him and so the collaboration with a visual / video choreographer and lighting artist formed, injected with eclectic footage, as a result the creation of Throttle.

Throttle is one man on a drum kit playing to cranking, toe-tapping, percussive overloaded music. It is a high-octane thrilling rhythmic musical adventure built on driving drum grooves and a visual kaleidoscopic extravaganza.
