Local solo musician and legend Ash Grunwald just recently wrapped up a huge tour of Canada, having taken his unique blend of Australian blues and roots thought the cold nation of Canada.

In 2013 Grundwald released Guargantua a stunning hybrid of emotive songwriting and genre exploration. The following year, continuing to evolve from where he left off with Guargantua, Ash brought in Ian Perez, keyboardist for Wolfmother and Pete Wilkins, former drummer for Blue King Brown. The effortlessly gifted pair built the launch pad for Ash’s detonative sonic boom, enabling him to explore the lose-yourself-sounds of psychedelic blues using synth rather than stringed bass.

With a swag of fresh songs under his belt and  touring experience like no other, Grunwald embarked on his 11th Canadian tour, and while on the road kept a little tour diary for us. Check it out and be sure to visit www.ashgrunwald.com for all upcoming tour info.
