The folks behind St Jerome’s Laneway Festival have set the Laneway 2016 rumour mill in motion with the announcement of the lineup for their annual SXSW Party. This year’s event will include appearances from Viet Cong, Girl Band, Mansionair, East India Youth, and more.
Last year’s event, which is held annually at the famous Austin music and culture conference, featured appearances from Perfect Pussy, Eagulls, and SOHN, all of whom ended up making appearances on this year’s Laneway Festival tour.
Meanwhile, a similar showcase organised for the year previous featured appearances from CHVRCHES, Parquet Courts, Vance Joy, and XXYYXX, all of whom ended up making the cut for Laneway 2014, so it’s a good bet you’ll see a few of these names at Laneway 2016.

This year’s Laneway event was another success, with festival co-founder Danny Rogers issuing a special thanks to “the many people who worked tirelessly in their efforts to make sure Laneway continued to push all boundaries to give music fans the ultimate festival experience”.
“I feel like we are edging closer and closer to achieving a world class event that rivals some of the most important in the world. This does not happen without amazing support from community stakeholders,” said Rogers in a statement.
