There’s been a huge amount of excitement surrounding Daniel Johns this week as the Aussie rock icon dropping his debut solo EP Ariel Love today, and if that’s not enough for you Johns fanatics out there, there’s a very special Silverchair treat that’s set for release later this March.

The Newcastle outfit’s seminal debut full-length release Frogstomp turns 20 years old this month and to celebrate Silverchair and Sony Entertainment have announced that a special 20th Anniversary Remastered Edition of the killer album that bought us hits like ‘Tomorrow’ will be released on vinyl, double and single CD and digital formats will hit shelves Friday March 27.

Along with the standard remastered single CD release, the album will also be available as a special fold out Digi-Pack Deluxe Edition that features double CDs and a DVD. This version contains a limited edition embossed cover, original remastered album, rarities disc, music videos and a live concert from the Cambridge Hotel in Newcastle recorded in 1995. The Deluxe Edition also includes rare original photographs of the band taken by Tony Mott and special liner notes from Craig Mathieson.

Fans will also be able to purchase a limited edition yellow vinyl release, reminiscent of the highly collectable original green vinyl album.

Frogstomp remains a stunning debut album, having to date sold over four million copies worldwide, and remains an early indication of the even greater success yet to come for these fine young Australian musicians.
