Ever since Beyoncé surprised the world by dropping her record in 2013, the clever tactic has been implemented by other major artists, and the latest to shock everyone with an album release online is none other than King Kendrick Lamar.

This ain’t a joke, arguably the most anticipated release of 2015 (sorry, Madonna) To Pimp A Butterfly has just appeared online for purchase in the iTunes store, Lamar himself posting the following to his official Facebook:

To Pimp A Butterfly is the follow-up to Lamar’s universally critically acclaimed sophomore record of 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, to which we’ve already heard three tracks including ‘i‘, ‘The Blacker The Berry‘ and the very fresh release, ‘King Kunta’.

The record is only available online at the moment as the record was originally destined to arrive on shelves on Friday 23 March, however for whatever reason, the highly sought after LP has landed on the internet nice and early, and we cannot wait to wrap it around our ears.

If you want to buy the album hit up this link https://itunes.apple.com/au, if you’re after the physical copy, you may be waiting a little bit longer.
