Do you remember Zero Freitas, the Brazilian bus line magnate who bought biggest vinyl collection in the world? Well, he’s just announced that he wants to share the sounds of his five million records with everyone.

In a recent interview with the BBC (via The Vinyl Factory), Freitas spoke of his great vinyl obsession, dating back to the very first days when he bought records, having to clear out his daughter’s bedroom to make room for his collectable wax, as well as of course explaining how he would share his epic musical library with other avid music listeners.

Freitas and Co. are currently cataloguing his endless supply of records, ensuring they are up to scratch with appropriate cover and sleeves to match the wax before slotting them into the appropriate section of the monolithic library.

From there, he intends to have each and every single record listed in an archive accessible to the public and if there’s any wax that tickles their fancy, he invites them to come and give the record a spin, “people will be able to check our records and get in touch to make requests to listen to them, we want to keep the collection accessible to all.

“The relationship people have with certain songs is subjective and personal. I want to share this with people and make it possible for them to recall their memories” he said.

One can only imagine the insanely rare and bizarre recordings Freitas has in his possession, his giant warehouse the ultimate playground for any vinyl record nut.
