There’s been some pretty bad artist-to-fan incidents at gigs this year, who could forget when a crowd beat up a heckler at a hiphop show, or even worse, when a Grammy nominee beat down a women on stage. Sadly, continuing on this negative train, someone has invaded the stage trying to attack a performing duo.

Video footage has emerged of a Run The Jewels concert happening at SXSW (South By Southwest) music conference in Austin, Texas, which saw an enraged man try to fight El-P, then attempting to fight various members of the crowd and security, as Stereogum reports.

Captured from various angles by punters at the outdoor gig, the film footage is pretty scary, with a man casually appearing on stage, by-passing Killer Mike and charging straight for El-P, who manages to flee to the side of the stage without being harmed.

The stage invader is then seen fighting different people on the ground before security once and for all knock him to the ground. After this, Run The Jewels start a group chant yelling “fuck boy” repeatedly, before they dip straight back into their set.

Since the shocking incident, the rappers have taken to Twitter apologising for the altercation and thanking the audience for their patience whilst the situation was taken care of:
