We’re barely even weeks out from Soundwave 2015 and already the lineup for Soundwave 2016 seems to be falling into place. After seemingly confirming homegrown favourites Violent Soho, promoter AJ Maddah appears to have snapped up metalcore outfit Northlane.

The Blacktown crew, who recently had a major lineup change with the addition of new frontman Marcus Bridge, contacted the Soundwave chief via Twitter, writing, “We’d love to be playing #SW16 if you’ll have us @iamnotshouting – last time was amazing!”

Maddah was definitely down, quickly tweeting back at the boys, who are already set to play Groovin The Moo later this year, with great enthusiasm. “Of course guys! #SW16 is shaping up to be a big one!” the promoter replied.

Violent Soho became the first name to be added to the tentative Soundwave 2016 lineup. After an eager Twitter follower queried Maddah as to the chances of seeing the Mansfield outfit on the 2016 bill, Maddah said he was all for it.

When the band replied with an enthusiastic, “Fuck yeah that rules”, Maddah welcomed to the band to the 2016 instalment of his flagship event. “Sweet. Very proud to have you,” he replied. “Let’s get the specifics sorted out in private :) Welcome to #SW16.”

While the full 2016 lineup is obviously months away, in the meantime Soundwave fans can look forward to some “exciting news”, which Maddah says everyone can expect this Friday. Stay tuned to Tone Deaf and we’ll have all the details as soon as they’re released.
