Just last month our favourite garage/blues/roots four-piece of Alabama shared just a taste of their forthcoming record Sound & Colour, foot-stomping chorusing song ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ and now the band have dropped another absolute pearler.
The new beat is called ‘Future People’ which sees the band delve into a more groovin’ funk, charged by palm-mutes and high-toned guitar licks and backed by a rumbling, powerful bassline whilst the magnetic frontwoman Brittany Howard’s smokey vocals burn through the thick layer of bluesy southern sonics.
Sound & Color is out 17th April and Alabama Shakes will be absolutely smashing apart Bluesfest in April, so to get you nice and excited for the big, big things to come – listen to their fresh tune right here:
