The great musical, film and technology Mecca that is South By Southwest has drawn to a close, and naturally, our FOMO is beyond comprehension as we looked at all the fun Aussie artists were having at the conference in Austin.

The guys from SXSW are aware that not everyone can make it to Texas for the ultimate meeting of musical minds, and as such, each year since 2005 they’ve posted an epic list of music online from performers over the eight days and made it available for free download to the public so we don’t all feel completely left-out, and this year they’ve got plenty of fresh music, as Torrent Freak writes.

Uploaded in MP3 format, this year there’s an unbelievable 1291 files, which totals to a monstrous 8.42GB worth of music and to make life easy, someone has gone ahead and put all the files into two torrents for free and legal download which can be located right here.

This is the largest amount of music shared for free online by SXSW, and is a brilliant way to have a listen to all the new and returning performers at the musical extravaganza.

Of course, if you like what you hear – don’t continue on the Torrent trend, support these up-and-coming artists and purchase their tunes, it’s the whole point of SXSW providing us with all with such a goldmine of music.
