Muse have unveiled their latest single, ‘Dead Inside’, the first to officially be taken from their highly anticipated new album, Drones, which is slated for release in Australia on Friday, 5th June. The single follows the release of album track ‘Psycho’, which the band unveiled earlier this month.

‘Dead Inside’ offers listeners more clues as to what to expect on the band’s forthcoming full-length effort. The uplifting atmospherics, structural complexity, and pummelling riff are juxtaposed with bone-chilling lines like, “I see magic in your eyes / On the outside you’re ablaze and alive, but you’re dead inside“.

“This is where the story of the album begins, where the protagonist loses hope and becomes ‘Dead Inside,’ therefore vulnerable to the dark forces introduced in ‘Psycho’ and which ensue over the next few songs on the album, before eventually defecting, revolting and overcoming these dark forces later in the story,” said Bellamy in a statement.
