APRA AMCOS are responsible for the non-profit collection and distribution of songwriting royalties to songsmiths around Australia and each year they host the annual APRA Music Awards and this year there were some interesting results, as well as some outrageous happenings.

Nope, it wasn’t something ludicrous like Angus Stone invading the stage attesting that 5 Second Of Summer had the best release of 2014 a la Kanye West at The Grammys nor was it the bizarre award acceptance video by the face of Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz (yep, that actually happened), as found by the folk at FasterLouderit was Jimmy Barnes covering/murdering Sia’s ‘Chandelier’.

The original working class man is alongside Diesel as well as a chorusing trio who give provide enjoyable soul to the otherwise throat-tearing rendition of the 1000 Forms Of Fear classic, Barnsy givin’ his famous pain-stricken grimace as he fails to coax the crowd into even a slight sway.

You can see the cringeworthy video below however we have to warn you, this is actually a lot worse than you think:

And while we’re at it, this is who APRA AMCOS should have enlisted to belt out the instant pop classic:
