It’s fair to say we were more than a little surprised when the news broke that Craig Nicholls of The Vines had partnered up with Nick Littlemore from PNAU to work on a new collaborative project, White Shadows, and to keep the shock factor high, they’ve release a pretty bizarre music video.

Directed by Melvin J. Montalban and Dylan Duclos, the video for ‘Give Up Give Out Give In’ has been filmed in a modern art gallery, featuring different characters crawling on the ground, sitting perfectly still and smashing fluorescent lights.

The description of the video is said to take “inspiration from the surreal, the images portray portals to another space in a collection of surreal sculptural paradoxes, often defying the laws of physics” and the mysterious nature surrounding the video “mirrors that of the illusive project from Nicholls.”

Back when the track first dropped, fans were initially divided, many of The Vines purists confused that Nicholls had reworked an additional track for the smashing single ‘Don’t Listen To The Radio’ that was released in 2006 from the record Winning Days, however after plenty of air time, the vast majority are very much digging the breezy, dance beat tune.

White Shadows are gearing up for the release of their debut record Secret Of Life which is set for shelves on Friday 10 April, until then, we suggest you give the freaky-cool vid for ‘Give Up Give Out Give In’ a good workout below:
