The Easter Long Weekend is a special time, many utilise their time off for a quick travel getaway, to catch up on sleep and visit family – but what happens when you get seriously sick and tired of your siblings and parents and haven’t been organised enough to escape the city? You attend a live music gig, duh!

As there are so many incredible shows happening around Australia this long weekend, we decided to piece together a list of the eight gigs we think are worth checking out – outside of the best local gigs under $15.00 this week.

Take a look at our guide and start planning accordingly as there are plenty of other folk that will be needing to dance off all that chocolate they’ve scoffed Easter Sunday morning.
