Known for composing soundtracks as much as their efforts in the world of trance, Juno Reactor put together a mix and list of some of their favourite soundtrack moments of all time.

Neil Young – Dead Man Theme
Taken From: Dead Man
One guitar all the way through – the simplicity of the score works so well. Stunning film!

Vangelis – End Theme
Taken From:
Bladerunner
Featuring Vangelis’ unique touch, this soundtrack really is simple and beautiful. It is hard to imagine a film these days featuring the same detailed approach. Vangelis is such an unique producer!

Reinhold Heil, Johnny Klimek – Meeting Laura
Taken From:
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
When I first heard this I was stunned and I could not move. Her voice is so amazing and the orchestration is perfect. I must have played this 50 times in a row before I moved on.

Hans Zimmer – I Never Woke Up In Handcuffs Before
Taken From:
Sherlock Holmes
Horrible film, but a great soundtrack. The violin is so raw, I can see the bow digging into each note! This is credited to Hans Zimmer, but I doubt it is him in the driving seat. More likely it is one of his many young composers he has locked up in his LA German castle, all fed on fish guts and tails to make them produce bone crunching music!

Nick Cave, Warren Ellis – Martha’s Dream Song
Taken From:
The PropositionGreat film and great soundtrack. Nick Cave lives here in Brighton and sometimes I see that lanky man walking around as if he has been released from his vampire lair! I always have been a fan of his work.

Cliff Martinez – We Don’t Have To Think Like That Anymore
Taken From: Solaris
If I go to space I want to hear this track as I float around the stars. Gorgeous.

Eric Serra – What’s Happening Out There
Taken From:
Leon
Arabic strings and a cool rhythm. Luc Besson is one of my fave directors!

Midival Punditz – Fabric
Taken From:
Monsoon Wedding
This is the first time I heard the Midival Punditz, and I became a massive fan of their work after hearing this. It’s difficult to write about love as well as they do in this film. Definitely one of my all time favourite movies.

Maceo – Halloween Theme
Taken From:
Halloween
I remember hearing this on a massive PA at the Music Machine after seeing the film and it sounded brilliant. John Carpenters soundtracks from this time were always amazing. Very inspiring!

Soggy Bottom Boys – I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow
Taken From:
 Oh Brother Where Art Thou
Maybe I like the band name more than the song? T Bone Burnett I think did the soundtrack… I love the way he records and produces.
