Ivy League Records have unveiled stylish Melbourne sextet Alpine’s latest earworm single, ‘Foolish’, the first taste from their highly anticipated new album, Yuck, which is slated for release on Friday, 12th June.

‘Foolish’ was penned in a tiny tour van in North America whilst listening to 1960s South American pop stars and the music video, directed and animated by Melbourne artist Tristan Jalleh, sees Alpine taken on a journey into a lavish world that fits perfectly with the track’s playfulness.

The song ties together many of the band’s diverse influences, including The Style Council’s string stabs in ‘Shout To The Top’, as well as the enjoyment of simple, long, warm evenings, which combine to give ‘Foolish’ a tantalisingly boisterous nature.

Fans will receive ‘Foolish’ for free when pre-ordering deluxe versions of Yuck (featuring three bonus tracks) digitally and on CD, and fans can also grab themselves a limited edition Yuck tote bag when pre-ordering the deluxe 180g vinyl via Alpine’s own special pre-order bundles.
