Remember when somebody apparently offered $5 million for Wu-Tang Clan’s record The Wu – Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, the ultra rare release? Well it turns out an Aussie band has the same idea to earn some big bucks, well, kinda.

One of our favourite local outfits, Twin Beasts, have listed their latest single ‘Open Up Your Eyes’ to be purchased and downloaded for a healthy $999.95 on Bandcamp – or you can stream it for free.

The alt-country five-piece promoted the brand-spankin’ new tune on their Facebook earlier today, writing the following: “New song up on Bandcamp. It’s called ‘Open Up Your Eyes’ and you can stream it for free or download it for $999.95. We’ll even shout you a dinner if you buy it” – sounds like a pretty decent deal, right?

Of course, the guys are only having a bit of a laugh – however after giving the track a spin, we are considering pooling some cash together and hitting the “Buy Now” button.

‘Open Up Your Eyes’ sees the band delve into the sprawling fuzzy world of alt-rock and is one of the fresher releases since their acclaimed 2014 LP, Bad Love, a record we still love giving a spin.

The five-piece are stoked to launch the nearly $1000.00 track The Workers Club on April 17th with Baptism of Uzi and Leah Senior, and will be giving digital downloads out for free, so if you love the song but simply can’t afford to wax nearly four digits on one track – show your support and bare witness to their forever-energetic live shows.

Check out ‘Open Up Your Eyes’ below and get that credit card ready:
