We’re getting pretty damn excited for Record Store Day, especially after selecting a list of the must-have special releases hitting shelves on Saturday, however it looks like we missed a whole lot of essentials, well, that is if you’re a Jack White fanatic.

This Record Store Day will see the garage-blues extraordinaire release a huge list of rarities that you kinda don’t need, but really want via his Third Man Record Store, as the guys at Stereogum point out.

We already knew that White was re-releasing one of Elvis Presley’s earliest recordings, the 10″ of ‘My Happiness’ and ‘That’s When Your Heartaches Begin’, however on top of that, the Third Man Store will be displaying the original press – it’ll just be hidden behind bulletproof glass and maned by an armed security guard. Yep.

Strangely, there’s also the opportunity to record “in the exact same way Elvis did” in his first ever 1953 Sun Studio sessions, where Elvis impersonators get “one mic” for “one song” which will be “cut directly to a 10″ lacquer disc” – ’cause the world needs more Elvis impersonators, right?

In addition to that, a vinyl pressing of the White Stripes Get Behind Me Satan with 3D lenticular images, coloured vinyl and new mastering will be available, as well some equipment including a SEPTAVOX Keyboard and TERZ amplifier and a Third Man exclusive electric 3-string guitar – all of these items will be black and yellow.

Other stuff up for grabs in the store includes band t-shirts, silkscreen postcards and they’re will be live performances, too.

Sadly, all this fun takes place at the Third Man Record Store which is inconveniently located in Nashville, so unless you’re in Tennessee this weekend, it might be time to book a last minute ticket to the US’ south to ensure you acquire the arsenal of Jack White goodies.
