A couple of months back the Kiwi-US psych-poppers Unknown Mortal Orchestra shared the first and title track from their forthcoming LP, Multi-Love, the band building on a more synth-laden sound that got fans plenty excited, and this week, they’ve dropped another.

The fresh track is oh twenty-first century, entitled ‘Can’t Keep Checking My Phone’ which rings to the tune of a lo-fi meets dance-funk vibe.

UMO have continued to move away from their more watery psych-pop sound, this time ’round its courtesy of the vocals which see Nielson’s angelic vocals dance alongside a much deeper backing tone, rather reminiscent to the to-and-fro of UK electro outfit, Hot Chip.
