Each week we piece together a column of the best local gigs you can attend for $15.00, which is unequivocally the best value your money can buy – well, that was until we saw what this incredible show fetched for.

As it was rumoured, the one and only Lazaretto garage-blues virtuoso, Jack White, has confirmed that he will be going on a gig hiatus but before he does, he had a handful of very special shows left to perform, and tickets only cost $3.00, yep that’s right, $3.00, as Consequence of Sound point out.

White has revealed that he will play five acoustic shows in the remaining states of America that he’s yet to have taken the Lazaretto tour to, and this Monday night saw the Detroit native shred in the snowy state of Alaska in Anchorage.

Playing to a crowd of around 900, White took to the stage with a three-piece ensemble, tearing through songs from his expansive catalogue including ‘We’re Going to be Friends’, ‘Love Interruption’, ‘A Martyr for My Love for You’, not to mention covers of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash.

Naturally, fans have going absolutely bonkers for the performance, with various videos popping-up on the internet of the unique and ultimate “bang for your buck” show, check ’em out here:

The 39 year-old rocker has been working at a steadfast pace over the past 12 months, some of the major highlights have seen him kill it at Coachella, his set being touted as one the epic gargantuan festival’s best, not to mention working on a brand new documentary which look incredible – and of course, his crazy record store day antics too.

If by chance you’re in the States, it looks like White still has Idaho, Wyoming, North and South Dakota to twang his acoustic in, so keep your peepers on high alert, you may just catch the musical legend for a scant $3.00 before he unplugs the amps for an extended period of time.
