Following the announcement of their massive 2015 lineup last week, Splendour In The Grass organisers have now confirmed that “the 15th annual Splendour In The Grass Arts & Music Festival has sold out”.
Tickets for the always popular event went on sale via Moshtix at 9am this morning and were quickly snapped up. The sell-out follows a week of various pre-sales, which all saw increased demand on previous years.
In a statement, organisers said the sell-out reflects the continued interest in Splendour, buoyed by a spectacular lineup featuring over 100 local and international acts, including Blur , Florence + The Machine , and Mark Ronson.
“We couldn’t be happier with the way the last week has gone and today in particular,” said Event Co-Producer Jessica Ducrou. “It’s always a huge relief for us after all the planning to see a continuation of the incredible demand for Splendour.”
“Following the amazing feedback we got from punters last year about our refurbished North Byron Parklands home, we think 2015 will be the best event in our 15 year history.” Ducrou reserved special thanks for ticketing provider Moshtix.
“It’s been the smoothest ticketing process we’ve ever had for the event,” she said. As Tone Deaf reported, last year’s ticket sales experienced trouble after the ticketing system was hacked, leading to confusion and disappointment from punters.
Meanwhile, those that weren’t able to secure Splendour 2015 tickets still have a shot. “We will be offering a re-sale facility as we have done in previous years, from 1st June. Our website will have all the details,” said Ducrou.

Splendour In The Grass 2015 will kick off at the North Byron Parklands on Friday, 24th July and run till Sunday, 26th July. For more information on this year’s event head over to the official Splendour website. The festival’s ticket resale facility will be available via Mosthix from 1st June.
