Introducing your new favourite indie rock outfit, Jack and the Kids.

Hailing from Bendigo, the four-piece comprising of Jack Kennedy, Matt Thornton, Mark Chatterton and Lachy Prest have been working at a steadfast pace on their debut release, the four-track wonder, Treasures.

The stunning first release from the band of brothers sees the group make bold use of cold, powerful keys on tracks like the morose ‘Dear George’ and the brooding ‘We Walk Alone’, which might we add, the vocals on the latter tune is reminiscent of the mature-sounding Iggy Pop, and we love it.

Our favourite song from Jack and the Kids is ‘Loving You’, which sees the outfit delve deep into the sonic soundscape of dream-pop with glints of shoegaze to produce a shimmering, immersive closing track that’ll make you break the repeat button.

Jack and the Kids will be launching the EP at The Shadow Electric housed in the Abbortsford Convent a part of the Casual Band Blogger 2nd Birthday Show Friday 8 May.

We’re super stoked to be premiering this sublime release so we’ll stop waffling on and let you enjoy the brilliance below:
