It feels like forever since the world’s most adored goofball, Mac DeMarco, was terrorising Aussie shores a part of the epic Laneway Festival, and despite it being only three months ago, we bloody miss him.

However, courtesy of a fresh video that just popped-up online, we’ve got something to tie us over until he makes he triumphant return Down Under.

First surfacing on Pitchfork, DeMarco has uploaded a vid that ticks for nearly 4-minutes, the clip featuring the jovial jangle rocker recording new music (that you can hear – and sounds mint), scouring the New York City streets at night for cigarettes, laughing with his beloved girlfriend, Kiera, and just acting like the complete nut that we love.

Outside of a few minutes of entertainment, the whole purpose of this video is to announce that Maccy-boy is dropping a brand-spankin’ new EP, entitled Another One, which will hit shelves Friday 7 August of this year.

From the snippets we’ve heard from the Making Of Another One, DeMarco appears to be diving deeper into the lo-fi and jangle rabbit hole whilst incorporating more off-kilter synthesisers – a change of direction he toyed with (and nailed) on the underrated Salad Days song, ‘Chamber Of Reflection‘.

Check out the hilarious and oh so Mac DeMarco clip filmed by his one and only Kiera McNally below and get excited, more amazing music from the mad maestro is only around the corner:
