One thing we’ve had enough of at music festivals are those tacky clothing markets that sell “funny t-shirts” and cheap, mass-produced Bob Marley, Nirvana and the ilk knock-offs, and our gripe couldn’t be more warranted after this awful t-shirt appeared for sale at a US festival’s stall.

Stagecoach, the country music sister festival to the gargantuan Coachella, busted a merchandise vender for selling a disgusting homophobic t-shirt, as Reddit (via Consequence of Sound) reports.

The offensive tee bares a print that reads: “Titties & Beer Thank God I Ain’t Queer!” alongside other ridiculous bits of apparel, including another that says: “Roses Are Red, Areolas Are Pink, Show Me Yours And I’ll Buy You A Drink” – super classy, Stagecoach.

Thankfully, the clothing stall has been shut down and the vendor has been turfed out of the festival, although, disappointingly, some only are struggling to grasp why this is such an issue.

They’re argument is that the item of clothing was inspired by a song penned by “country-comedian star” Rodney Carrington and is merely a joke, the tune named, ‘Titties & Beer’ – which you can listen to here if you really want to put yourself through it.

The country music event just completed another year of successful operations over the weekend, held in the Californian desert, the three day event completely sold-out courtesy of a massive list of southern-twang inspired musicians including Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert.
