For those uninitiated, The Outdoor Type is the Melbourne based project led by Zack Buchanan who writes modern Australian guitar pop songs about suburban life. Sonically, The Outdoor Type a blends alt-country guitars and analogue synth drones, with hooky jangle pop guitar.

Having impressed a lot of people late last year with the release of his track ‘Are You Happy, he’s today dropping his killer new self-titled EP featuring the lead single ‘When The Sun Goes Down’.

To help launch the EP, The Outdoor Type will be hosting a series of launch shows in Melbourne and Sydney enlisting the help of some top local talent. For more info visit his Facebook page.

When The Sun Goes Down is out now, with the EP to be released Friday May 1, both via Habit Music Company.
