Our favourite day of the working week is finally upon us, and nothing shouts TGIF better than tuning in to Triple J for their weekly Like A Version, which has fired an absolute ripper to kickstart your weekend.

Sydney producers Carmada, the pair responsible for the gargantuan banger ‘Maybe‘, popped-in to the Js’ studio with Wolf Tide’s Rob Taylor to give one helluva crack at Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s new beat, ‘Lean On’, and boy – did they deliver.

Making the track their own, Carmada & Co. strip the tune of its club vibe, replacing the pounding beat with a more calypso feel as Taylor’s unique vocals soar in perfect unison with the feel-good electronica experience.

Every damn week we’re blown away with the amount of brilliance that spills from the Triple J studios. This year has witnessed some amazing Like A Versions, our hearts stopped when #1 Dad’s gave FKA twigs a run for her money, that was after Hiatus Kaiyote’s potential front runner for best of the year, not to mention The Bennies killing an Aussie classic, Sticky Fingers supporting a local act and a personal favourite, when a rising talent showed the big guns how Like A Version is supposed to be done.
