This July and August will see four of Australia’s most rapidly ascending musical talents — Marlon Williams, Husky Gawenda of Husky, Jordie Lane, and Fergus Linacre of Kingswood — band together for eight very special concerts across Australia to play The Beatles’ Rubber Soul and Revolver back to back.

These world-first live performances of two of the most treasured albums in rock history, which will be played back to back in track order, backed by a dozen of Australia’s finest musicians, who’ve previously participated in the Beatles Back2Back (Abbey Road and Sergeant Pepper) and The White Album concerts.

Naturally, each artist has a personal connection to the work of the Fab Four. “Rubber Soul strikes that beautiful balance between incredible pop music with just a little bit of weirdness in it,” said Marlon Williams of what many consider a flashpoint in the band’s storied career.

“The songs are so musical and touch on universal things, I don’t think that time and place really matters,” added Gawenda. Meanwhile, Linacre reserves praise for the Beatles’ unsurpassed influence, saying, “They grew and grew and experimented and created new genres that have their own place in music.”

These shows will see the 28 songs of Rubber Soul and Revolver brought to life on stage, starting with ‘Drive My Car’ and closing with ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’, superbly presented with state-of-the-art sound production and “no gimmicks, just the music”.
