Aussie pop punks Dan Cribb & The Isolated have today dropped the killer new video for their single ‘The Last Time’ taken from their upcoming LP titled As We Drift Apart out May 14th, pre-order here.
Featuring a face many comedy fans will recognise, the trio’s video was produced with the help of the one and only David Liebe Hart (of Tim & Eric fame).
The whole partnership began when Cribb”emailed him out of the blue” as he explains “in 2012 after I heard rumours he was going to be touring Australia. The rumour wasn’t true, but that lead to us booking an Australian tour for his punk band, David Liebe Hart Band, and I played bass for him on that run of show.”
“We needed an idea for a music video and I realised that David would be in Perth at just the right time. He committed to the video, then we had to come up with an idea.”
“If you’ve seen David Liebe Hart on Tim & Eric, it’s not an act. That’s exactly what he’s like offscreen. Because of that, he’s very easy to work with because he can just be himself and that’s exactly what people want to see. He can’t play guitar, drums or bass, and didn’t know the lyrics, but we just hit record and let him do his thing.”
After filming over a few hours the rest of the production time was spent editing “Four David Liebe Harts is too many and not enough at the same time” Cribb reckons, and we can’t agree more!
