Mark Ronson will soon be touching down in our great sunburnt country to perform at the eagerly anticipated return of Splendour In The Grass and it looks like he’s developed a certain fondness of Australia, because he’s sampled one of our very own homegrown favourites on his latest tune.

The track, a production effort for rapper A$AP Rocky, is built around a sample of Sydney band Python Lee Jackson’s 1970 classic ‘In a Broken Dream’, which famously features Rod Stewart on vocals, before he found fame as a member of the Faces.

The track, titled ‘Everyday’, also features a contribution from R&B star Miguel, who sweetly sings Stewart’s unforgettable hook, for which the rock and roll legend reportedly only received a set of seat covers as payment.

‘Everyday’ doesn’t mark the first time that A$AP Rocky has featured an Australian act on one of his tunes. Homegrown duo Finatik N Zac worked on ‘Long Live A$AP’ from the album of the same name, which also featured Laura Jane Lowther of Kučka.

‘Everyday’ is taken from Rocky’s highly anticipated new album, A.L.L.A. (At Long Last ASAP), which is scheduled to drop on 2nd June and features collaborations with FKA Twigs, Lykke Li, Juicy J, Mos Def, Danger Mouse, and more.
