Since 2013, the word on just how good Melbourne 4-piece outfit Raised by Eagles are has been spreading. Alt country aficionados are in on it. Selected festival goers are in on it.  Some of the most respected music reviewers and taste-makers in Australia are in on it. Many of Melbourne’s live music fans are also in on it.

Now with their brilliant new album Diamonds In The Bloodstream just about to be released through SlipRail Records (distro thru Vitamin Records), and a co-headlining tour with Americana darling Ruby Boots announced, the word, as they say is well and truly out.

Raised by Eagles’ 2013 self-titled debut saw them play packed houses at the Bella Union in Melbourne and earned them a nomination at The Age Music Victoria Awards for ‘Best Country Album’. From that release onRaised by Eagles have been working hard at providing audiences with raw, gut-wrenching performances that captivate and transform.

In 2014 the band delivered a blinding run of shows that included appearing along-side international luminaries of the genre, Justin Townes Earle at the inaugural ‘Out On The Weekend’ Festival, as well as performances at Apollo Bay, Kyneton, Jamgrass and Riverboats Music Festivals.

Released on April 20, Diamonds in the Bloodstream is a collection of interwoven tales covering the undulating territories of regret, hope, home and distance. Songs that remain unaffected by the smoke and mirrors of music in the post-modern era, and encapsulate the art of storytelling at its heartfelt finest. For more info visit www.raisedbyeagles.com.
