Alt country rocker Ruby Boots is today releasing the video for her stunning single ‘Wrap Me In A Fever’, penned in her favourite cheap motel room in Newtown NSW. The track tells the tale of a woman teetering on the edge and simultaneously giddy with the fresh lightheadedness of a heart that is newly in love, complete with backing vocals by Jill Chrisp and Richard Bradbeer, plus Joe Cope’s organ and the playful steel of Lee Jones.

The clip was shot in Sydney by Tim Oxford and Simon Knox and captures something of a life on the road that Chilcott is currently no stranger to, having recorded her album across four continents along with steady national touring since March on the road with Tony Joe White and Shovels & Rope, as well as playing her own shows.

“Shooting the clip felt so natural which was refreshing and something new. Aside from its subtle sub plot, it really does encapsulate so much of how transient things are for me at the moment. I’m sure it will be nice when someday I have a place to call home that isn’t suitcase and a plane ticket and look back on and remember how glorious it is to be on the road as much as I am” says Chilcott.

About to embark of a national tour in support of her debut album Solitude, don’t miss Ruby as she rolls into your town.
