After eight years of silence, Daniel Johns, one of Australia’s most beloved rock and roll heroes, has finally released his eagerly anticipated debut full-length solo effort, Talk. To celebrate, he’s now unveiled his latest music video for ‘Cool On Fire’.
“After hearing the song ‘Cool on Fire’ I was compelled to create a video that exposed Daniel both visually and metaphorically. Daniel delivered an enigmatic yet truthful performance adding the essential ingredient to the music video,” said director Josh Logue of the clip.
“Daniel not only understands musically, but also visually how to make timeless, great art,” added Josh, who is best known for the similarly eye-popping visual he’s paired with music by the likes of Empire of the Sun and Hilltop Hoods.
Meanwhile, Talk will receive its official launch with two very special shows at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on May 28th and 29th as part of the Vivid Festival. These will be Johns’ first full performances as a solo artist.
