It’s hard to disagree that band of the moment Catfish and the Bottlemen have released a festival anthem in waiting with their new single ‘Hourglass’, which just got even bigger with the release of its accompanying video featuring non other than Scottish film star Ewan McGregor.

The video came about after frontman Van McCann refused to take no for an answer in his quest to meet his hero (McGregor). After cutting the original lyric video to ‘Kathleen’ using Ewan Mcgregor film clips, he bombarded Ewan with tweets and even produced a ‘10 Reasons Why I Love Ewan McGregor’ video for Transmitter.

Once the boys added Ewan’s face to their drum skin and toured with it, Ewan eventually relented and took them out for breakfast in New York. He’s since seen them live, jammed with them, and now taken the starring role in their brilliant new video. Check it out below and be sure to catch the guys as they roll into town from Splendour in the Grass 2015.
