Coming out of Sydney in the biggest squall of psychedelic space rock since The Church 30 years ago, The Laurels have cemented their position this year as one of the hottest bands in the country. Shoegazing their way out of being merely in the thrall of acts like Ride and Swevedriver, The Laurels bring a white noise aesthetic to a classic psych rock jangle, while making a massive wall of sound which is distinctly ‘now’. Launching their new single ‘Turn On Your Mind’ this Friday at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne, they’re joined by Belles Will Ring and The Demon Parade for a night of reverb drenched psychedelic bliss.
