Canadian born Garrett Kato made Byron Bay his home in 2011 and has been spreading his heartfelt vocals and eerie guitar tones throughout Australia ever since. He cemented his place in current Australian folk/pop at festivals like Bluesfest and Splendour in the Grass, and now comes forth with the recently released single ‘UFOS’ from his upcoming album titled That Low and Lonesome Sound.

The guitar wielding troubadour recently popped back to his birth home to perform as part of CMW (CanadianMusic Week, aka Canada’s version of SXSW) and while he was there he kept a diary covering one of what you would assume to be many hectic days as a hardworking indie muso at CMW. Check it out below and pop by Kato’s Facebook for more info.
