We don’t know about you, but we were fairly unaccomplished 7-year-olds. Seven full years into life and we hadn’t even set a single Guinness World Record. That’s why we gotta give props to young Squish, who just set a Guinness World Record for receiving the most high-fives at Bonnaroo.

As Mashable reports, the 7-year-old, who’s something of a Bonnaroo veteran, having gone viral after he was brought on stage by Haim back in 2013, returned this year to claim the highly coveted record of most high-fives in an hour, amassing a grand total of 2,392 high-fives on Friday.

Squish’s record eclipsed that previously set by Ram Kadam and V Generation in India back in 2012, who only managed to score 2,181. Guess it pays to be an adorable 7-year-old and stationing yourself at one of the world’s most well-known and popular music festivals.

Thousands of people signed up, lined up, and then laid enthusiastic high-fives on Squish, who stood elevated on a pedestal, because each high-five was required to be performed above all participants’ heads. It is meant to be a “high” five, after all.

And if you think this is a matter of just being in the right place at the right time and letting the record take care of itself, Squish trained for his record attempt with the help of his mum, Amy Spears, who’s been documenting his Bonnaroo experiences on social media for three years.

Squish and his mum have become a staple of Bonnaroo. In addition to jumping on stage with Haim, Squish went viral when he promised to shave his mum’s head if the organisers of the festival added Norwegian artist Bernhoft to their 2013 lineup.
