The eagerly anticipated lineup for Listen Out 2015 is expected to drop later today, but one astute Sydney resident managed to spot a street poster for the hip-hop, dance, electronic, and urban music event, which features several acts set for the bill.
As Project U reports, the poster reveals that the 2015 return of the beloved event will be headlined by hip-hop star Childish Gambino, with support from SBTRKT, Joey Badass, and Odesza. And that’s just to start, the poster promises “many more” to be revealed soon.
As we previously reported, Listen Out 2015 will be kick-starting the summer party season with some of the best international and local dance music acts this September and October in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane, with the Melbourne event moving to a beautiful new venue at Catani Gardens in St Kilda.
“We want to hold on to what was good about last year, and make it better,” festival boss John Wall told FasterLouder. “So we’ve tweaked the venues to try to make more space where it’s needed, easier bar access where that’s need, quicker entry where it’s need and louder sound wherever possible.”
“And we’ve carefully handpicked a lineup that we think is even more solid and representative of quality good time dance music than last year.” With four of the biggest names in hip-hop and electronic music today, it looks like organisers are off to a pretty good start on besting their 2014 efforts.
UPDATE 16/06/15: Ladies and gents, the full Listen Out 2015 lineup had now dropped and you can see it in all its glory below. In addition to the huge names already announced, fans will be enjoying the likes of Alison Wonderland, Rae Sremmurd, Ilovemakonnen, and many more.
