Okay people, we’ve told you plenty about how Courtney Barnett is taking over the world. Well, now she’s officially made it. That’s right, Courtney Barnett is among the latest names added to the song list for the upcoming instalment of Guitar Hero.

As RockSound reports, the young songwriter’s raucous single ‘Pedestrian At Best’ will now be a playable track on the upcoming Guitar Hero Live, along with cuts by White Zombie, Korn, ZZ Top, Green Day, Bruno Mars, The Strokes, and Bob Dylan.

Barnett’s not the only Aussie to make the grade this round. You will also be able to play Jet’s breakthrough single, ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’, which actually sounds damn similar to Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’, also included in the new additions to the game.

As Tone Deaf reported earlier this month, game-makers have been adding new songs to the latest instalment in the popular franchise by the barrelful, with a good crop of Aussies featured in the previous batch of additions, including Angus & Julia Stone and Wolfmother.

The new Guitar Hero is slated to break new ground in the franchise’s history, turning the whole game into a first-person rockstar simulator. Among the most notable changes in Guitar Hero Live are the omission of the series’ famous graphic avatars and crowds.

Instead, Guitar Hero Live presents a first-person perspective where you play alongside real, live-action band members and real crowds. Activision are reportedly aiming for a US fall release date on Xbox One and 360, Playstation 3 and 4, Nintendo Wii U, and even mobile devices, with a price of US$99.
