Okay kids, time to have a little chat about just what’s been going on at all these music festivals you’ve been attending lately. We don’t know about you, but back in our day, you went to a festival to enjoy the music and get pissed up with your mates.

But if a new report in FACT is any indication, it appears some of you have, ahem, ulterior motives in mind when you make your way to Splendour In The Grass next month. We’d just like to say, shame on all of you. Festivals aren’t about you getting your rocks off.

Yes, according to FACT, a bunch of randy Dutch developers have banded together to create Glance, an app that helps people find random hook-ups at music festivals. Think of it like Tinder, but it’s specifically for finding fellow Soundwave headbangers to, um, bang.

As Mixmag notes, Glance works pretty much just like Tinder. You select which festivals you’re heading off to and let the app show you potential flings. You swipe right to register your interest and left if they’re not your cup of tea. Then you just have to find each other in the crowd.

“Glance connects you to likeminded people attending the same festivals and club nights as you. If someone likes you back it’s a match and you could go together. Bye bye awkward dates with people you have nothing in common with. Hello event driven dating,” Jeron Jochems, one of the app’s designers, told Mixmag.

We guess it kind of makes sense. If anything, it’s maybe a little less shallow than Tinder (though not by much) because at least you’re hooking up with people who already have some of the same interests as you. Just don’t be comin’ around here with no babies.
