Sydney’s FBi Click, an electronic and dance offshoot of the legendary community radio station Fbi has been home to the best new dance electronic music for a whole 12 months!

Dedicated to dance, electronic and hip hop music and playing the good stuff 24 hours a day, seven days a week, FBi Click covers everything from deep house, UK garage and club bangers to Afrobeat, dancehall and experimental beats. And all the best things in between.

To celebrate their 1st birthday the crew are thrown a party this Saturday the 27th at Goodgod Small Club (full venue takeover) and will feature DJ sets from all the station’s crews: Motorik, Picnic, Astral People, Purple Sneakers, Bare Necessities, Body Promise, Goodgod Sound Unlimited, Lazy Radio, Foreigndub Airwayvs, Thump, and a special guest DJ set from Black Vanilla.

To get you in the mood for the event, some of the Click crew have compiled a mixtape featuring some of their favourite dance party tracks both locally and internationally. Check it out below and for more info on the celebrations check out the Facebook event here.

King Tide – ‘Atomised’

Chosen By: Foreigndub
Picked “because it has great musicians and they are lovely guys!”

Phanboy – ‘Herzeloyde’

Chosen By: Switch (With Sandro Switch)
“A huge bass weapon from one of the Flow-Fi collective’s most promising producers.”

‘In’ – Dreems

Chosen By: Picnic (With Kali and Andy Webb)
“My two favourite things in life are movies and music! What a combo this is!”

Harvey Sutherland – ‘Rosebud’

Chosen By: Lazy Radio (With Tony Chill)
“I just can’t stop playing this one. It’s on the house-ier end of the Lazy Radio spectrum but it’s got this slightly jazzy, melancholic vibe that segues perfectly into all the balearic sounds and disco funk that a lot of my shows are made from. Harvey Sutherland is a producer out of Melbourne with impeccable taste, and the Voyage Records EP that this tune comes from is full of gold.”

Nutrition – ‘Soluppgang’

Chosen By: Purple sneakers
“‘Soluppgång (Pt. 1)’ is a 9-minute sprawling number that could only be described as “epic”. Considered and calculated (but also feeling completely natural), ‘Soluppgång (Pt. 1)’ is a big step forward for the Nutrition lads. We love this one heaps”

Lewis Cancut – ‘Circles’

Chosen By: Body Promise
“Super talented Aussie Producer who has been releasing some of our fave tracks of 2015. Makes really colorful club music with releases on one of our fave label Enchufada.”

Asdasfr Bawd – ‘Nobody’

Chosen By: Thump (With Antonia Gauci)
“I love Asdasfr Bawd. There’s something special going on there. Simplicity and complexity all in a neat little package which just makes me smile.”

Beat Spacek – ‘Tonight’

Chosen By: Bare Necessities (Klue & Sam Z)
“A dope Afrobeat groove, wamping future bass vibes, and a vocal to rival Curtis Mayfield himself!  Pretty much the highlights of recorded music thus far rolled into three and half minutes of awesome.  Dig it!”

Death Bells – ‘You, Me & Everyone In Between’

Chosen By: Motorik
“You might be expecting some techno boy or girl on Motorik, and while we definitely love all the artists on our label, our current fave is Death Bells and their song ‘You, Me & Everyone In Between’. I first heard it on FBi. Theyve only got one track on soundcloud and are super fresh. They remind me of being in bands and how great that all was. Its a lush slice of shoegaze. great vibes.”
