Music festivals aren’t just about the music, they’re also an opportunity to bond with mates and even strangers and bond we do. According to research recently conducted by UK ticketing outlet Skiddle, one in five revellers has had a one-night stand at a music festival.

As The Daily Mail reports, Skiddle recently quizzed 1,000 Brits on their festival habits, including what they get up to after retiring to their tents for the night, as well as why they go to festivals, travelling habits, drinking habits, and how much they spend on their experience.

In addition to the surprising number of people getting down in muddy fields across the UK, 15 percent of respondents said they had met their significant other at a music festival, with one in 10 participants knowing someone who got married at a festival.

Skiddle’s research, which readers can view in the form of a handy infographic below, also revealed that festivals are increasingly becoming a family affair, with 50 percent of those surveyed saying they’d been to a festival with their parents or knew someone who had.

An additional 20 percent of respondents said they have taken their child to a festival and a further 48 percent claimed they knew someone who had taken their child to one, which you may remember we mentioned as one of our 13 Things That Should Be Banned From Music Festivals.
