This year’s Glastonbury Festival was so huge that not even the likes of Foo Fighters pulling out from their eagerly anticipated headline set could derail the event. The massive lineup included a raft of international superstars, including Kanye West, Florence and the Machine, The Who, and more.

Best of all, there was a solid contingent of Australian artists heading to Worthy Farm this year, including Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker, who hit the stage to join his homeboy Mark Ronson on their hit ‘Daffodils’, as well as Courtney Barnett, Chet Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote, and more.

With the festival now wrapped up for another year, and with all the best bits from Glastonbury 2015 covered, we decided to give readers an idea of what it was like for our homegrown bands and artists to hit the storied stages of Glastonbury this year.

Kevin Parker

Kevin Parker is a Glastonbury alumnus by way of Tame Impala absolutely rocking the join back in 2013. This time around, he was there to appear alongside pal Mark Ronson, whose set was a star-studded affair also featuring Theophilus London, Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, Boy George, Mary J. Blige, Grandmaster Flash, and George Clinton.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Is it just us, or is Glastonbury a requisite rite of passage for any Australian band before they absolutely blow up on the international stage? Considering that’s pretty much what happened with Tame Impala and Courtney Barnett, we reckon there’s big things in store for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Flight Facilities

Following their unprecedented performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, electronic duo Flight Facilities are concentrating on total world domination and by the looks of these behind-the-scenes snaps, everything is going according to plan.

Hiatus Kaiyote

These Grammy-nominated soul favourites are used to the big time by now, but even they were overwhelmed by the positive reception the Glastonbury crowd gave them. “Much [love]… to all the beautiful people who braved the mud to come rock with us at [Glastonbury] yesterday. We had such a great time at both of our shows and can’t wait to come back soon!” they wrote.

Courtney Barnett

This wasn’t Courtney Barnett’s first rodeo, so hitting the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury wasn’t even a big deal for the swiftly rising rocker. But the fans in the crowd certainly felt differently, singing along to every word and going crazy in the notoriously muddy mosh.
