Melbourne songwriter/ producer Coach Bombay, aka Terry Mann has been writing recording and releasing glimmering indie pop and electro jams since 2009. After a string of impressive releases including two EPs and two LPs he’s now dropping the video for ‘Strange’ the standout single from his Sunshine LP.

Shot by his Dad David Mann the video for ‘Strange’ features ridiculously cute 1991 Betacam home video footage of Coach Bombay himself at age four absolutely shedding  on a toy guitar.

As Terry explains, ‘Strange’ is about individualism. “I find that you truly get to know someone when both of you feel comfortable enough for your strangeness to come out. Everyone has their own way of being strange, and it’s worth embracing rather than hiding.

Since much of this comes from nature and nurture, I thought it was only fitting to dig up my Dad’s old Betacam footage of my brother and I being strange creatures, circa 1991. I toyed around with different edits for this but decided to only to use 4 long takes, deliberately keeping in all those awkward in-between moments.”
