Retro rockers Donny Love are today premiering their killer brand new single ‘Carnivorous Man’, and it’s everything we’ve come to know and love from the four piece – jangly catchy guitar that’s reeking of sleaze and pouch tobacco.

Comprising of four Gold Coast mates, the band’s sound is undeniably influenced by the members’ experiences growing up near the beach and ocean. Donny Love’s music has inevitably come to be affected by the sun-bleached haze, invoking images of tanned skin babies, sandy togs and long summer days.

Mastering the art of lo-fi retro pop, Donny Love also discuss the much seedier side to the tourist town of the Gold Coast. Referncing the darker side of existence, long alcohol and drug-fuelled nights, sexual experiences and frustrations, and the feelings induced from living in such an incestuous and insulated city.

The band will be playing a few shows across the country over the next few months, check out the tour dates below and if you like what you hear be sure to visit the band’s Facebook page for more info.
