Today Melbourne guitar pop favourites The Ocean Party have released their ‘surprise’ single ‘Guess Work’ and it’s the first we’ve heard form the band in 2015.

The three and a half minute gem chugs along with its locomotive beats only to be stopped by a clashing singalong chorus “I want, to exist outside it all”… Lyrically ‘Guess Work’ see the band explore feelings of guilt and disenfranchisement of living in an age of globalisation.

Hearing a new Ocean Party track is like bumping to an old friend, familiar but nonetheless exciting. In celebration of the single, the band will play some shows over the next month, dates below.

Upcoming Shows

Saturday 11th of July – Melbourne
Melba Spiegeltent (supporting Oh Mercy)

Saturday 25th of July – Sydney
Vic On The Park (w/ Beef Jerk)
