You know Howler as one of Melbourne’s most beloved venues, regularly packing their kick-ass band room with world-class acts and serving punters great drinks and meals. But this month, they’ll become one of Victoria’s newest and most exclusive country clubs.

A country club with a difference, however. There’ll be no member’s fees, no stuffy dress codes, and no invitation needed. Staying true to their multifaceted space ethos, the Howler team will be erecting a custom-made, pop-up mini-golf course inside the venue.

This is something truly unique and inherently ‘Melbourne’. Running Sunday, 26th July till Monday, 3rd August, the much-loved Howler performance space and band room will feature nine holes of loops, windmills, ramps, sculptures, and golfstacles for all to enjoy.

“With each of the nine holes uniquely themed to flow perfectly from volcanoes to the beach, through to the jungle and beyond this is your chance to come inside for the great outdoors, test your skills, challenge your friends and all without having to head out of town,” a Howler statement reads.

“Bring your friends, grab a drink and head for the course! How many people can say they’ve tee’d off on the same stage where iconic greats such as St Vincent, Flying Lotus, Odesza, Hiatus Kaiyote, Something For Kate, Augie March, Kite String Tangle and so many more have performed? Now YOU can!”

Best of all, entry into Howler’s Country Club is free with any purchase and you’ll get to enjoy sweet tunes spun with a lineup of special guest DJs on selected nights. Readers can check below for all the dates and details or head to the Howler website.
