Peking Duk had a breakthrough year in 2014, becoming an overnight sensation off the strength of their mega-single ‘High’, which they followed up with the similarly huge ‘Take Me Over’. You simply couldn’t escape these two tracks in 2014 and both appeared in the top five of the Triple J Hottest 100.

Well, the Canberra duo have just unveiled their latest single and there’s no way you’ll be able to escape its clutches in 2015. Featuring the vocals of fellow Canberran Benjamin Joseph, ‘Say My Name’ is Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles’ latest super-banger and it might just go on to be the biggest of the year.

“The song came together in a matter of minutes,” says Adam. “We didn’t really overthink it or let anything get in the way. We had the main outline of the beat there in around 15 minutes, then we worked on the vocal melody and tightened the whole thing up back home in Canberra.

“We thought it would be fun to have a simple drum beat and chant driven song so we’ve had a bit of fun with it.” Indeed, the song is a surefire dance floor filler, but with a rocky edge reminiscent of classic boom-clap tunes like ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘The Stroke’.

‘Say My Name’ is out in Australia today, just in time for everybody to learn the words before the boys make their return to the Splendour In The Grass stage next week. From there, the pair will be going on to more shows across Australia and the US this year.
